Anniversary Rings For Women

Anniversary rings are designed to celebrate a milestone in your marriage together and are usually given by the husband to the wife as a reaffirmation of the commitment he made on their wedding day. While these special rings are usually  given on significant anniversaries such as the 10th, 20th, 25th, or 50th anniversaries, they may also be given on any anniversary one pleases. In some cases, an anniversary ring may be given after the couple has survived a particularly rough patch in their marriage as a sign of renewed commitment. In other cases, where the couple may have started their lives together with little money and the husband could not afford an engagement ring, and then their economic situation has improved an anniversary ring may be given to add the sparkle of diamonds that he feels his wife deserves.

While there are no hard and fast rules that dictate exactly what the anniversary ring should be, there are some things that you should keep in mind when choosing an anniversary ring.

	The metal used in the anniversary ring should match the metal used in the wedding set. That way should your wife choose she can wear all three rings together.
	While an anniversary ring typically consists of three to five stones, you can also choose a ring with more or even an eternity ring that has stones all the way around the ring if you choose.
	While diamonds are the most popular gem in anniversary rings you don't have to make all the stones diamonds or even any of them diamonds. You can instead choose your wife's favorite gem stone or combine a diamond in the center with a stone representing the date you met on one side and the date you got engaged on the other, your birthstones, or any other gem stones you feel will be significant.
	Usually the gem stones in anniversary ring are set inside the ring to make it easier to wear with the wedding set. When choosing set in stones look for rings that have the stones held in with small prongs instead of just glued in as the prongs will help keep the stones from working loose from the setting.
	While an anniversary ring is your gift to your wife you should keep in mind her individual taste. For example if she likes small delicate gems rather than larger stones then bow to taste. While larger stones may make a bigger impression on family and friends it is your wife who you ultimately want to please.

Anniversary rings are more than a nice gift for your wife. They are a wonderful way to not only tell her that you still love her after all the years the two of you have been together but, they are your way of telling her how special she is to you. Finding a special and romantic way to present her with her anniversary ring will make the gift all the more special both for her and for you.
